Episode 003: Getting Grounded

Sometimes we feel off balance or like our brains are on a hamster wheel. We are desperate to feel grounded. In order to get grounded, we need to be in our own bodies, solidly, while also being able to come outside ourselves to get a 10,000 ft view from above. Join Dawn as she challenges you and shares ideas to help you journey to grounded living.
“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” ~Anais Nin

Show Notes:

1. Find Your Center~ We are in Christ and He is in us.  Christ lives within you and the Holy Spirit is working on your behalf.  He is alive and well.

The Creator of the Universe, the one who had us planned before the beginning of time, this God is the One who has placed His Holy Spirit in you.
Ps 139:14;  Acts 17:24-25;  Acts 17:28;  1 Cor 3:16;  Ps 139:7

You are complete and whole in Christ.  When you come to the knowledge and understanding of who you are, there is something very grounding with this.  He gives weight to your very being.  Listen to your body.
Col. 2:10;   I Pet 2:24

You are the daughter of the King.  You are alive and well and have God as your protector- the One who grounds you.
2 Cor 6:18;  Gal 3:26

2. You Must Go Up to the Balcony Before You Can Come Down– the Balcony is the place where creativity comes into play and where you choose to enlist and take with you anyone you would like to join you on this part of your journey with God.
Matt 6:33;  I Cor 2:10

3. Consider the Weeds Around You- The Lies You Believe
Recognize what lies you have believed and weed them out- such as, “I can’t”, “I won’t”, “I’ll never”, “I’m not enough”, “I’m not valuable enough”, and/or “I’m not detailed enough”.  Doing this will help prepare the soil of your heart for growth.
Prov 4:23;  Matt 13:23

When you speak truth into the lies, you will be more able to solidly stand, giving you room to  access your curiosity about where God is leading.
Prov 15:22

In Conclusion:
When you find yourself on the hamster wheel, confused and in a state of chaos, you can either hope someone will rescue you OR decide to Get Grounded- realizing you have all the necessary protection you need in Christ.  In this place you are not only okay, you are well.
Matt 11:28-29
